Paris Saint-Germain is suffering a heavy blow before the decisive match against Dortmund

France – Lucas Hernandez was confirmed absent from Paris Saint-Germain’s decisive match once morest Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals following suffering a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Hernandez will miss the return match scheduled for the “Parc des Princes” stadium in Paris next Tuesday.

Paris Saint-Germain said in a statement that the 28-year-old French international defender underwent an examination on Thursday, and that he is scheduled to undergo surgery in the coming days.

This injury will also prevent Hernandez from playing with the France national team during the European Championship, “Euro 2024.”

The Euro 2024 tournament will be held in Germany starting next June 14.

Missing out on the tournament is another tough blow for Hernandez, who played just eight minutes at the 2022 World Cup following tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during France’s opening match once morest Australia.
