The French newspaper “Le Parisien” confirmed, this evening, Wednesday, that the Paris Saint-Germain administration had reached a preliminary agreement with Lionel Messi to renew the latter’s contract.

According to “Le Parisien”, Messi does not intend to leave at the end of the season, and wants to continue with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2024.

The French newspaper indicated that the negotiations lasted for 3 months between Jorge Messi, his father, and the Parisian club, which eventually led to an agreement to continue with the team.

The newspaper revealed that Messi wants to win another title in the Champions League, and finds in Paris the greatest opportunity to reach his desired goal in the coming period.

In the same context, the Spanish newspaper “Sport” stated that the agreement to renew the contract was made between Paris Saint-Germain and Messi, for a period of one season, with another optional season.
