“Participation of Ajman Businesswomen Council in the 5th Gulf Businesswomen’s Forum in Jeddah, covered by Emirates News Agency”

A delegation from the Ajman Businesswomen Council recently participated in the fifth Gulf Businesswomen’s Forum and its associated exhibition, which aimed to promote “Gulf Women between Empowerment and Leadership”. The event saw a wide participation of business owners, experts, and government officials from GCC and Arab countries, and was organized by the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Federation of Saudi Chambers, and the Jeddah Chamber of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Amna Khalifa Al Ali, chairwoman of the Ajman Businesswomen Council and member of the board of directors of the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed the Ajman Businesswomen Council delegation. Al Ali emphasized the forum’s value hosted by Jeddah Chamber in enhancing the contribution of business women to the chambers of commerce and industry. She highlighted the achievements of business owners, and commended their contribution to increasing the GDP of GCC countries. She noted the forum offered a significant platform for exchanging ideas and recommendations supportive of increasing the capabilities of Gulf businesswomen. Furthermore, they aimed at linking innovation with businesswomen’s projects and promoting entrepreneurship.

Dr. Amna Khalifa presented a working paper entitled “Women Personalities in the World of Business and Finance”. The paper outlined valuable and exceptional experiences of female entrepreneurs, emphasized the importance of stimulating and encouraging beginners wishing to enter the field of private projects, and showcased the role and diversity of innovative initiatives aimed at developing and growing the projects of women entrepreneurs and turning their ideas into successful projects.

The forum concluded with several recommendations, including the importance of launching initiatives to strengthen the role and status of Gulf businesswomen. They also called on the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council to found a permanent committee for Gulf businesswomen’s forums, promoting specialized centers to integrate digital and modern technologies into the work of businesswomen. It recommends including this service in their package of services, promoting the establishment of funds directed to investing in businesswomen’s projects, and establishing a Gulf network for businesswomen in the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Finally, the delegation of the Ajman Businesswomen Council met with His Excellency Nasser Huwaiden Al Ketbi, Consul General of the State in Jeddah, and discussed joint cooperation. They also explored ways to enhance cooperation and opportunities for exchanging visits to benefit from initiatives and services in the field of entrepreneurship, especially for women entrepreneurs, and opportunities to participate in events and exhibitions organized by both parties.
