Pascal Vandenberghe, director of Payot: “Opening a physical store is daring anywhere”

Payot will reopen in Bernese lands this fall. In a press release released Monday morning, the Romandie bookstore announces that it is moving to Stauffacher in Bern, where its German-speaking competitor Orell Füssli will rent a floor to it. Payot thus finds the capital following 25 years of absence and promises 235 m2 French-language books. This is the group’s 14th branch and the only one outside French-speaking Switzerland. It will have five employees. Pascal Vandenberghe, Director and Chairman of Payot, explains the reasons for this breakthrough in German-speaking Switzerland.
