Passenger opened emergency exit door manually

Asiana Airlines said that when the plane was regarding 200 meters above the ground before landing, a passenger sitting near the emergency exit opened the door manually. This led to breathing problems for some passengers, and several of them were taken to the hospital following landing.

The incident did not lead to more serious injuries, it said. The man who opened the emergency exit was taken to the police for questioning.

South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency reported nine hospital admissions. She released a short video of the incident. It shows how a strong draft penetrates through the open aircraft door and ruffles the hair of some passengers. Some of them cry out in surprise.
