As you may know, the excellent reboot of God of War released in 2018 on PS4 has just arrived on PC via a superb port. As we recognized in our in-house test, there is not much to reproach this PC version of God of War, which quite simply allows you to discover the new adventures of Kratos and Atreus in the best conditions.

Moreover, the players were not mistaken since the title has been a hit on Steam since its launch, with a peak of 73,529 players reached during its launch weekend. A great performance for a single player game. Moreover, this excellent start could push Sony to consider porting other Playstation licenses to PC. We cross our fingers then to see the arrival of certain renowned exclusives on PC such as Bloodborne or Ghost of Tsushima for example.

Update 1.0.3 fixes memory leak issues

However, not everything is rosy in Midgard on PC. Indeed, some players have been victims a memory leak problem. This bug could notably lead to game crashes and/or sudden drops in performance. What spoil the experience of the players.

If you are concerned by this problem, know that the development team in charge of the port has just release a new patch. This update 1.0.3 solves this dysfunction. “Thanks to everyone who reported the memory leak issue and helped us by sharing their configuration information, we appreciate you going the extra mile.” writes Santa Monica Studio on Steam. Note that it will be necessary to restart Steam to get the latest God of War update.

As a reminder, the long-awaited continuation of the adventures of Kratos, namely God of War Ragnarok, due to arrive on PS4 and PS5 this year. Who knows, maybe the success of this port will convince Sony to also release a PC version of GOW Ragnarok? We cross fingers.
