The Republican presidential candidate has thus set a bizarre trend at their party convention in Milwaukee: Some of his supporters also covered their ears to express their solidarity with the 78-year-old.
The delegates did not need a plaster for this: many folded a piece of paper so that it might be clamped to the ear – and additionally secured it with a piece of adhesive tape.

Joe Neglia, a congressman from the US state of Arizona, said he wanted to honor Trump and was thinking regarding how best to do so. He asked himself “what can I do to show my support, solidarity, sympathy and gratitude to the man who almost gave his life for our country.”
