This year, however, the rest of the sectors, such as clothing and footwear, sports goods, household products and various services, entered the “dance” of offers several days earlier.
In a time of intense precision, this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions they give, in fact, a breather to the family budget, just before the “threshold” of the holiday shopping.
Accordingly, the commercial world of Patras, during the period we are going through, despite its many peculiarities, it is hoped to see satisfactory turnovers.
As Yiannis Roupas, a member of the Board of Directors of the Patras Trade Association, pointed out in “Peloponnisos”, local businesses are ready to welcome native consumers with great discounts and promotions. However, Black Friday in recent years, and especially this year, has turned into an informal discount period of several days, with the “big men” of the retail trade adopting unfair tactics, as evidenced by the fines imposed by the Ministry of Development on large chains for misleading discounts.
In this context, Mr. Roupas emphasized that local trade calls on consumers to conduct market research before making their purchases, to trust and support local businesses. Local shops offer high-quality services and products, and at the same time, money stays in our city.
“We hope that this year’s Black Friday will move at satisfactory levels and November will “close with a smile” for the traders of Patras”, added Mr. Roupas.
