An unrepeatable sight and at the same time an authentic and spontaneous release of joy and fun for the countless carnival-goers and spectators who filled the sidewalks of Corinthou Street and George I Square, was the Grand Parade of the Patrinos Carnival that raised the thermometer of fun and imagination in heights.

The human river that flooded Patras had all the characteristics of a Pallaic celebration. The more than 60,000 carnival-goers delivered lessons of high carnival education and with their extroversion and pulse they transmitted messages of optimism and hope, turning their backs on everything that puts a brake on the joy of life.

Everything that could be imagined by the human mind was found in the carnival spirit of both chariots and crews receiving unexpected, exciting transformations. In addition to the excellent uniforms and hats, the chariots-vehicles and the inventive-imaginative constructions presented by the crews impressed, provoking the warm reactions of the spectators.

At the top of the parade the members of the Municipal Music playing carnival songs and the cheerleaders from Mina Panagiotopoulou’s “Keep Dancing” dance school with their freshness gave us the first taste of what will follow the Herald, the Carnival King (“Carnival of Globalization” ), the Queen’s Chariot with Georgia Sacca and their entourage (Flower Chariot, ‘Smile’ inspired by the old silent film, ‘Circus Dancers’, John Lennon with the Flower and Peace Children, and the Chariots of the Children’s Carnival “Carnival Baby”, “Imaginary Journey”, “Carousel”, “Moon”, “Dog”, “Centipede”, “Inguana” and “Circus”).

The continuation is exciting in an endless party with dancing and carnival inspiration of the crews beating red. The innumerable carnival-goers with torrential momentum gave their best and went wild to the sounds of rousing music. They really ended the carnival counter by breaking all the records.
