After the particular success of the Carnival towns in the Old Slaughterhouses and in the surrounding area, the Carnival of the Little Ones is fearlessly coming to the center of Patras and making an appointment with our little friends next Saturday 9/3/2024.
The actions of the Carnival of the Little Ones escalate on Saturday from 10am to 2pm with Karnavaloupoli in Ypsilon Alonia square.
The program of actions is as follows:
-“Cradle Parade”
Children of preschool age who will be accompanied by their parents, will meet at 10.30 in Trion Navarchon where at 11.00 their parade will begin. they end up walking, dancing and singing in the center of the square for the carnival activities. In the presence of Municipal Music.
-Moving performance “aerites” by La Petite Marguerite (Vasia Tsotsou, Kariophyllis Grozoudis)
The aerialists are two real creatures that roam the urban landscape in search of the poetry and the dream that exists within us. They play, dance, create and give countless bubbles and infinite moments of joy and carelessness. It is a visual participatory parade that proposes playing with bubbles as a means of closeness and acceptance.
-Music performance “Zoologicos … Sound” (children’s songs about animals, based on the book “The cabaret of animals” – by Giorgis Christodoulou)
Giorgis Christodoulou has created and will present us a musical show that will captivate young and old, taking them on a journey made of sounds. The beautiful, happy songs composed by the creator of the children’s favorite ‘Animal Cabaret’ where parrots, butterflies, porcupines and rhinos ‘parade’ bring the sounds of animals to the imagination, creating a veritable zoo of wonderful melodies. Performed by Giorgis Christodoulou (voice, ukulele). Musicians on stage: Al Ruci (flute, guitar), Al. Abdeliodis (piano).
Karnavaloupoli will be supported by the Musical Chariot. The presenter will be Dimitris Moulinos.
It will be a solid warm-up for the little ones ahead of the Children’s Carnival Parade that will start at 11 am on Sunday, March 10 from Omonia Square and will flood Gounari and Korinthos streets as well as Georgiou A’ square with fun, dancing, colors, ingenuity and childlike brilliance.
