Paulo Duarte unveils the list of Sparrowhawks against Burkina Faso

The coach of the national football team of Togo unveiled this Thursday, March 16, the list of Sparrowhawks for the double confrontation against Burkina Faso as part of the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations (CAN) 2023.

The main thing to remember from Paulo Duarte’s list is the presence of the usual executives, including Djene Dakonam, Ihlas Bebou, Alaixys Romao and Kodjo Laba. Thibault Klidje, Steven Nador and other Samsondin Ouro were also called up by the Portuguese technician.

Paulo Duarte also trusted five players from the local championship, D1 LONATO. These include goalkeeper Ouro-Gneni of AS CK, defender Roland Amouzou of ASKO de Kara, and forwards Evra Agbagno of AS OTR, Moutalabou Ouattara and Harissou Ouro-Bodi of ASKO.

It should be noted that these last four players are called up for the first time in the national team.

As a reminder, as part of these playoffs, the Sparrowhawks face Burkina Faso on the 3rd day on March 24 in Marrakech, Morocco from 7 p.m. GMT. The two teams will meet four days later at the Kégué stadium in Lomé still at 7 p.m. GMT for the match of the 4th day.

At the end of the first 02 days, Togo is ranked last in its group B with 1 point. Burkina Faso leads with 6 points. Cape Verde and Eswatini have 3 and 1 points respectively.
