Pavlov returns for two performances at Unearte

The text, winner of international awards in Canada and Hungary, was chosen for the graduation montage of the Comprehensive Training Workshop 2023-2024

Pavlov: 2 Seconds Before the Crime by Gustavo Ott returns to the stage for only two performances, on July 13 and 14, in the Anna Julia Rojas room at Unearte, in Bellas Artes.

Amada, a famous radio talk show psychic, has been murdered. A detective tries to solve the crime, while a suspect emerges… Deep down, everyone might have killed her.

The text, winner of international awards in Canada and Hungary, was chosen for the graduation montage of the 2023-2024 Comprehensive Training Workshop of the Anna Julia Rojas Theater Laboratory.

María Fernanda Febres, Desirée Rodríguez, Anderson Navas, Jorbel Ruiz and José Capote, give life to this piece that combines elements of existential drama, black parody and social satire, and where, in the words of Marco Suniaga, life itself is portrayed as a conditioning force.

Ott, one of the most internationally covered Venezuelan playwrights, explores in Pavlov themes such as free will, religious fanaticism and constructs a scathing critique of the media and violence as a conditioned reflex.

Pavlov will be on Saturday the 13th at 5:00 pm and the 14th at 4:00 pm. More information on Instagram: @labannajulia.
