Payroll deposit problem at Desjardins solved

The payroll deposit problem that affected many Desjardins users on Thursday has finally been resolved.

“The situation is resolved. All payrolls were deposited at 8:55 a.m. this morning, “confirmed Jean-Benoît Turcotti, spokesperson for the banking institution, to the QMI Agency.

Remember that early Thursday morning, several citizen users of Desjardins were worried about not having received their pay. According to the institution’s spokesperson, “certain payroll deposits from other financial institutions were not processed as usual”.

Mr. Turcotti then specified that these payroll deposits “stopped during the night”.

The latter, however, could not specify whether it was a technical problem or a hack or the exact number of people affected by the problem.

“Our teams will continue their investigation,” he said simply.
