A 75th Annual Engineering, Science and Technology Emmy Awards today recognized innovative contributions to the audiovisual world and, among this year’s honorees, is David Eubankresponsible for the application pCAM Pro.

Developed exclusively for Apple devices, the app features 26 cinematography tools for film and TV professionals. These include selecting lens and camera sensor formats, determining exposure and color balance, and more.

A standout feature emphasized by the Emmy committee it’s the app’s ability to provide accurate previews of lens and camera combinations, which serves as a crucial feature for production teams on set.

pCAM Pro is a mobile app designed for Apple iOS devices that offers a complete suite of 26 cinematography tools designed for television and film professionals.

These tools include calculations to guide decisions about conceiving camera shots, designing and building sets, selecting camera lenses and sensor formats, achieving proper exposure and color balance, creating flicker-free lighting and lighting designs, and light effects for eyes and functional lighting, among others.

Notably, it allows precise previewing of specific lens and camera combinations, making it an invaluable tool for film crews.

pCAM Pro is available for iPhones and iPads in the App Store by R$150, but it can also be installed on a Mac with Apple Silicon. To run it, you need a machine with at least iOS/iPadOS 13.0 or macOS Big Sur 11.

The official television Emmy Awards ceremony, initially scheduled for September, has been postponed to January 15, 2024, due to the strikes of actors and screenwriters in Hollywood. Apple, it is worth remembering, received more than 50 nominations.
