Passing through Estrie on the occasion of Canada Day, the candidate for the leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada (PCC) and former Premier of Quebec, Jean Charest, wanted to be reassuring, a week following the invalidation of the historic decision of Roe v. Wade by the Supreme Court of the United States by indicating that a possible conservative government with him at its head would not restrict the rights of women.
