The PDIP Jakarta Regional Leadership Council (DPD) has invited Anies Baswedan to register as a candidate for governor (bacagub) in the 2024 DKI Regional Election.
Head of the DPD PDIP DKI Jakarta Regional Education and Training Agency, Gilbert Simanjuntak, said that his party was open if Anies wanted to run for office from PDIP.
“If Bung Anies really intends to advance through the PDIP, now is the time to register with the DPD. The system is open, please register. This is still in the early stages, the DPP will decide later,” said Gilbert, Wednesday (8/5).
Gilbert added that the final decision whether Anies will be supported by PDIP will be determined by the DPP. The PDIP central leadership will look at its track record.
“It depends on the DPP’s assessment and the candidate’s track record,” added Gilbert.
Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto opened his voice regarding the discourse on the Anies and Ahok duet. Hasto said, PDIP opened its doors as wide as possible for the nation’s best children.
