The theme of movement will be the red thread of this festival co-organized by the association Roulementes Habiles and the City.
It will indeed take up residence at Hédas and in various emblematic places in the Pau conurbation, such as the Foirail, the Maison de la Musique (Montardon), the Espace Daniel Balavoine (Bizanos), the André Labarrère Media Library…
“Our ambition is to diversify the public, to offer a discovery of music and the world of percussion”, underlines Aurélien Hadyniak, the director of Peaux in Pau and professor of percussion at the Conservatory of Pau.
In terms of novelties, the volunteers of the festival have decided to program two musical creations: a sound and visual journey across the five continents (from 0 to 3 years old) and a concert by a formation made up of a string quartet, two singers and three percussionists, who reinterpret the piece “InC”, by Terry Riley.
Among the other highlights of this 4th edition, we can mention the family show Living Cartoon Duet, on June 27 at the Maison de la Musique, in Montardon. This cine-concert was born from an original concept: to recreate the soundtrack of a live cartoon. This takes us on a journey to the Hollywood of the 1920s and 1930s, in the midst of the construction of Walt Disney animation and cartoons.
