The list of applicants for the country’s most important business prize, the Pegasus, is getting longer every day. Established companies with a long history are among the submitters, as are companies with a young history. Pegasus is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and the motto is “Forward Together”.
“Stay small and clear” has been the motto of the Karl Sinzinger locksmith company for 102 years. The company, which is run by the great-grandson of the founder, Karl Sinzinger IV, is on the one hand a locksmith and on the other hand specialized in safes: opening safes whose number combination no one knows anymore is the specialty of the Linz-based company, which specializes in the ” success stories”.

The story of “Pedacola” from St. Thomas am Blasestein is comparatively young: the idea of developing a regional cola drink came regarding in 2008. Peter Leitner’s team spent two years fine-tuning the recipe and the drink, which does not contain any added cola nuts or colorings, has been on sale for ten years. The basis is the cola bush, plus beet sugar, vanilla, mint and lemon. New flavors and products are constantly being developed. Pedacola has applied to the “Innovation Emperors”.
