Pemex confirms tragic toll of fire on Campeche platform

Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) confirmed that the fire on the Akal-B platformwhich occurred yesterday in Campeche, left a balance one dead and 13 people injured.

As we reported, on Saturday afternoon an accident was reported in the Akal-B platform of the Cantarell Production Asset (APC), in the Campeche Sound.

This Sunday, Pemex issued a statement specifying the balance of affected workers in the fire.

Six workers from the COTER company:

• 1 worker was evaluated at a Social Security hospital and discharged.
• 3 workers have first and second degree burn injuries and are hospitalized in the same institution, in stable condition.
• 1 worker is hospitalized in serious condition.
• 1 worker died.
