Al-Marsad newspaper: The Public Prosecution revealed the punishment for anyone involved in insulting the national flag, the royal flag, or another emblem of the Kingdom.

She explained through her Twitter account that the violator will be punished with imprisonment for a period of up to one year and a fine of up to 3,000 riyals, or one of these two penalties.

The Public Prosecution indicated that these penalties apply to anyone who brings down, executes, or insults flags in any way out of hatred or contempt for the authority of the government, whether that was in public, in a public place, or in a place open to the public.
