Pensioners and retirees demand a response to the IVSS

Caracas.- This Wednesday, April 6, pensioners and retirees will have a day of protest at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labor, in downtown Caracas, indicated the National Coordinator of the Human Rights Committee for the defense of pensioners, retirees, older adults and People with disabilities.

Silva affirmed that “there is an administrative silence” of the IVSS, the union’s requests are not listened to.

He also recalled that, on March 9, pensioners and retirees visited several IVSS headquarters throughout the national territory, demanding a decent salary.

Spokespersons for pensioners and retirees met with IVSS officials.

However, the letter introduced by Silva and the other leaders remained unanswered. The estimated response time according to the Administrative Procedures Law is 15 days, a term that expired on March 29.

Pensions increased considerably following the increase in wages. Retirees and pensioners are still dissatisfied with the amount on deposit days.
