After working for more than four decades in the television company, this March 6 he announced that he would undertake other projects, consequently he would stop collaborating with TUDN. On his official Twitter account (now X), Pepe Segarra revealed this news of his departure from Televisa. He also emphasized the excitement generated by starting this new era in his career as a sports commentator. True to his style, this was the message he shared:

“My children, I have something to tell you… After a career of more than 42 years at Televisa, a company to which I am extremely grateful and in which I have lived unforgettable moments, I am about to begin a new challenge that excites me very much and in the I hope you will join me.”

In a second publication he added that in the coming days he will share more details of what is coming. “I can assure you one thing… we are going to have fun!! I’ll tell you soon,” wrote the 69-year-old journalist.

Julio Ibañez was one of the first to react to the news, so he dedicated some emotional words to him for his decision: “Pepillo, I wish you the best in whatever comes next, a career like yours is an absolute inspiration.
