Pepsi leaves the Valais factories of Aproz

This is a heavy blow for Migros. The information was revealed on Monday in the “Walliser Bote”: Swiss bottles of Pepsi and 7up will no longer be bottled in the factories of the orange giant in Aproz. Contacted regarding the financial consequences of this departure, the distributor declined to comment.

No layoffs in sight

Since the start of the year, activity has therefore been slow on the Valais site. The drop in the company’s total production volume is kept silent, but Migros clarifies that there were no consequences for jobs. “No position has been cut at Aproz,” says Marcel Schlatter, spokesperson.

The Swiss license for Pepsi and 7up now belongs to the company Feldschlösschen SA, which bottles the sodas in Rhäzuns in Graubünden. It should be noted that the Coop group recently reintroduced the competing drink from Coca-Cola into its assortment.
