The fate of Persikabo 1973 in League 1 this season is beyond hope. Persikabo is the first team to officially be relegated.

Persikabo had to swallow a bitter pill after losing 2-5 when they visited Persik Kediri headquarters in the 30th match at Brawijaya Stadium, Thursday (28/3) evening.

The defeat made Persikabo stuck in the lowest position, aka 18th in the standings with only 17 points. With four matches remaining, they cannot catch up with the points of the teams above the red zone.

For Persik, victory revives their chances of pursuing the championship zone. Persik is currently in sixth position with 46 points, packing the same number as Madura United in fourth place, even though they are one match apart.

Persik appeared Trengginas winning 4-1 in the first round. Flavio Silva scored four goals for Persik before halftime. Persikabo reduced the situation to 1-4 thanks to Yandi Sofyan’s penalty.

In the second half, Persikabo again reduced the position through Yandi Sofyan’s second goal.
