Mexico City/Lima – After the turbulent change of power in Peru, the previous President Pedro Castillo has applied for asylum in Mexico. This was announced on Thursday (local time) by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Mexico City. Contact will now be made with the Peruvian government on the matter.
