President Vladimir Putin will speak at the FSB collegium today, February 28, part of the speech will be open, said his presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov. He stated that “there will be a serious conversation.”
“There will be a large, voluminous speech by the director of the FSB Bortnikov in the presence of the president behind closed doors. The importance of the service at the current moment can hardly be overestimated, so there will be a serious conversation, ”Mr. Peskov said during a press call.
According to the Kremlin press service, the collegiums will sum up the operational and service activities of the FSB agencies in 2022, as well as determine priority tasks for 2023. This will be the first collegium of the special services since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine.
The previous FSB collegium with the participation of Mr. Putin took place on February 24, 2021. The President then said, in particular, that the FSB had received information regarding impending provocations once morest Russia.
