Peter Maes has not coached a club for two years. But he might make his comeback.

After several difficult months following his indictment in the clean hand operation, Peter Maes see the end of the tunnel. A few days ago, the former Lokeren coach reached an amicable agreement with the court, allowing him not to risk prison. One less threat that frees the iron-fisted coach.

In an interview with Sporza, he said: “Now that the trial is behind me, I hope I can get back to what I love to do, pursue my passion and the opportunities will come my way once more”. His last appearance on the bench dates back to September 2021, when he failed to ensure the succession of Will Still at the Beerschot.
