Petition filed against Maryam Nawaz for wearing police uniform – Pakistan

An application was filed in the Lahore Sessions Court to register a case against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for wearing Punjab Police uniform.

An application was filed in the Lahore Sessions Court to file a case against Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz for wearing Punjab Police uniform, while the application was filed on behalf of Advocate Syed Waqar.

It was argued in the petition that Maryam Nawaz is not a police officer, Maryam Nawaz wore the uniform of a police officer, the police officers who were with Maryam Nawaz also did not stop her from wearing the police uniform. A request was made to SHO Police Station Old Anar Kali to register a case against Maryam Nawaz and others, according to law no person can wear the uniform of state institutions.

The petition further stated that there is a clear law that if an application is made to the police against any crime, the police is bound to register the application.

It should be noted that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz addressed the passing out parade in Lahore in police uniform.

The petitioner says that an application was made to the police against Maryam Nawaz, but no action was taken.

The petitioner requested that the court order to register a case against Maryam Nawaz for wearing police uniform.

It should be noted that the woman leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Dr. Yasmin Rashid has also said that a case should be registered against Maryam Nawaz for wearing police uniform.
