The appointment, according to the presidential agenda shared by the Casa de Nariño communications office, was scheduled for 2:00 p.m. this Wednesday, however, its transmission began two hours later (4:17 p.m.). .

The Ministry of Equality was a campaign promise made by Gustavo Petro to his then vice-presidential formula. Last October, the bill for this portfolio was filed in Congress with a message of urgency and after all the debates were over, all that remains is the president’s signature to make it law.
“I know that all of you they have the expectation that the president will arrive at any moment, I also have it. But here I am, putting my face to the Pacific by fulfilling a campaign promise”, said Francia Márquez.
