Kozhikode: A petrol bomb was hurled at a jeep parked in front of the medical college emergency department. The incident took place around 2.30 am on Tuesday. No one was injured as the jeep was unoccupied. According to preliminary information, the petrol bombing was part of a clash between gangs.
Yesterday, there was a clash between gangsters in Poovattuparam. Three people who were injured in this clash were brought to the medical college in a jeep. After the injured were taken to the emergency department, the vehicle was stopped nearby. After this, a group of two on a bike hurled petrol bombs at the jeep in the morning.
The jeep was damaged in the attack. After the incident, taxi drivers who were nearby intervened and put out the fire, so there was no major damage. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
