Manama: Boosterdose, the latest Pfizer vaccine developed against Covid-19 and its new variants, is now available in Bahrain. Bahrain is one of the first countries in the world to make the Pfizer XBB 1.5 vaccine available.
Pfizer XBB 1.5 vaccine, a Pfizer Biontech booster shot, has been made available at primary health centers in the country, the Ministry of Health has announced. Those who want to take booster doses of vaccine can make appointments directly from health centers without prior online registration. Citizens and residents can avail this opportunity.
Director of Public Health Department Dr. Mohammad Al Al Iwadi said. He urged the public to visit the ministry’s website, healthalerts.gov.bh, to update the latest recommendations and protocols for vaccination and booster doses.
Those aged above 12 will be served at Bank of Bahrain, Kuwait Health Center Hidd, Jedafs Health Centre, Sitra Health Centre, Yousef Engineer Health Center and Mohammed Jasim Kanoo Health Center between 7.30am and 7pm.
Children between the ages of 5 and 11 will be able to receive the new vaccine from December 27 at Halat Bu Maher Health Center, Hamad Kanoo Health Center and Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmed Al Sabah Health Center.
