Today’s trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty revealed that Idris Elba has joined the cast, and the actor has been very positive regarding the expansion’s plot.
Phantom Liberty is a “story expansion” “spy thriller” for Cyberpunk 2077 that introduces a brand new area of Night City for you to explore with Elb playing the new FBI agent of the United States of America, Solomon Reed. CD Projekt Red claims that the plot will take you on an “impossible mission of espionage and survival,” which is incredibly vague. And while Elba’s new comments regarding the expansion don’t shed much light on the plot, they do suggest that the story is going to be a lot of fun.

It’s no surprise that Phantom Liberty has a heavy focus on story given that Cyberpunk 2077 is already a fairly narrative game, but it’s definitely tempting to hear an actor as revered as Elba praise the game’s story.
