Further expansion of pharmacy skills. A decree published in the “Official Journal” on August 9 officially opens prescription and vaccination to pharmacists, nurses and midwives. From now on, pharmacists are responsible for the three acts of vaccination: prescription, dispensing, injection.
“For the profession, it’s a victory,” welcomes Romain Gallerand, spokesperson for the National Association of Pharmacy Students of France (ANEPF). Awaited for several months by the profession, the measure is a continuation. Since 2019 already, pharmacies have been authorized to administer the flu vaccine.
