Philippe Poutou is ironic about his “expensive” car

On Wednesday April 30, Philippe Poutou, candidate of the New Anti-Capitalist Party (NPA), was facing Elizabeth Martichoux on LCI. denouncing “a capitalism that is dangerous for society”the politician is in favor of a redistribution of wealth and believes that it is necessary “to socialize vital sectors of the economy”such as banks or the pharmaceutical industry.
And, when the journalist asks him about private property on an individual basis, Philippe Poutou quipped: “But of course you can keep your car. Besides, me, my car, my 308, (it’s) the most beautiful car of the candidates ». The candidate refers to the declaration of assets published by the High Authority for the transparency of public life (HATVP) on March 8. We then learned that despite his small assets (€122,000), he was the candidate with the most expensive car. The newspaper Liberation then specified that Philippe Poutou was driving a Peugeot 308 SW Allure, worth €22,500.
Accusations of plagiarism
The far-left candidate has, moreover, accused Emmanuel Macron of having used his slogan during his campaign rally, this Saturday, April 2, in Paris, when he mentioned the Orpea scandal. On his Twitter account, he let go, using a famous quote from Michel Audiard: “While his rich friends are stealing public money, Macron is stealing our slogans. Clearly, these people [les membres de La République en Marche, NDLR] dare everything. That’s why we even recognize them.” Recall that the Republican candidate, Valérie Pécresse, had also accused the President of the Republic of repeat important points of his program.
