PHOENIX Suns managed to beat the Los Angeles Clippers with a score of 124-108 in the NBA match.

The Suns scored just 10 points in the first quarter and 33 points in the first half in a 105-92 loss. Phoenix doesn’t look like a team desperate to earn one of the six Western Conference playoff spots.

Los Angeles played without forwards Paul George (left knee soreness) and Kawhi Leonard (right knee soreness) and guard James Harden (right foot soreness). Additionally, guard Russell Westbrook (left hand contusion) and center Ivica Zubac (left ankle inflammation) are also questionable.

George scored 23 points, Zubac had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Westbrook added 16 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists to lead Los Angeles on Tuesday. Harden missed the game against the Suns, while Leonard last played on March 31

Becoming the first Clippers player with at least 15 points, 15 rebounds and 15 assists in a game, Westbrook also started the game guarding Suns star Kevin Durant.

“Every night I’ve defended at a high level since the beginning of the season, and I pride myself on being able to defend every night, knowing the tendencies, knowing what the players like to do,” Westbrook said.

“Kevin is one of the best goal scorers this game has ever had. My job will be difficult. But he can’t score goals if he doesn’t touch them,” he added.

In another match, the Denver Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves with a score of 116-107. Both teams are in first place with three games remaining, and both teams have won four of their last five games.

Nikola Jokic is not on suspension and is considered the frontrunner to win his third league MVP in the last four seasons. He averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game.

Jokic, who has 25 triple-doubles this season, has shouldered the load with Murray limited to 56 games due to various injuries.

“He’s a supernova, he’s the brightest star. Honestly, he’s the sun. Everything revolves around him,” said teammate Reggie Jackson. (NBA/Z-3)
