On the afternoon of February 5, the police of Phu Quoc and Kien Giang cities coordinated with local authorities to examine the scene, investigate and clarify the cause of the serious traffic accident that killed 7 people.

According to initial information, around 6 a.m. on the same day (February 5), a 4-seat car with license plate 68E – 010.11 circulated from Duong Dong, towards Ganh Dau, when it arrived at the road in Ong Lang hamlet, commune Cua Duong, the driver changed to the left lane and collided with 3 motorbikes running in the opposite direction.
As a result of the accident, 7 people riding on three motorbikes (including BS 70H7 – 9126, 49M1-024.37 and 59E1 – 648.57) were injured, cars and 3 motorbikes were severely damaged.
Out of 7 people who were seriously injured, 2 people were identified as father and son who died while on the way to emergency at the Health Center of Phu Quoc City; One person with minor injuries has been discharged from the hospital, and four people with serious injuries are being treated.

On the evening of February 4, at the old airport runway of Phu Quoc, there was an accident that killed an unidentified man. The car that caused the accident fled the scene.
Before that, at 6:15 on February 1, at alley 331, Nguyen Trung Truc street, quarter 12, Duong Dong ward, there was a heartbreaking accident that killed a 2-year-old boy.
Doctor Vo Thanh Dung – Deputy Director of the Medical Center of Phu Quoc City said that in recent times in the city, there have been many serious traffic accidents, many victims were seriously injured.
