Physiatry student received prison sentence for usurping functions

The video of the woman doing some “therapies” went viral on social networks.

The 27-year-old physiatry student, who was arrested for allegedly usurping functions, was jailed at her hearing, the Public Ministry reported.

The young woman was arrested following a video went viral in which she gave a “treatment” to a three-month-old baby.

In the presentation hearing, representatives of the 15th Prosecutor’s Office of the state of Aragua charged the woman with the crimes of usurpation of functions, intentional homicide qualified in degree of frustration and illegal practice of medicine, provided for in the Penal Code and Law of the Exercise of the Medicine.

For this reason, the custodial measure was issued, and she remains confined at the headquarters of the scientific police in Maracay.
