Anyone planning to invest in a subscription plan to rent iPhones Now there is another option on the market: o PicPay. In partnership with the allua company that has been offering the service in Brazil for a while, the payments fintech now offers the option on PicPay Shop, a benefits store available on its app for mobile devices.
When tapping on the “iPhone by Subscription” option, available in the “Cell phone and internet” section of PicPay Shop, users are directed to an allu page. Here, they can rent Maçã devices by paying installments at lower prices than if they chose to make a traditional purchase.
With the partnership, iPhone subscriptions through PicPay have promotional prices. The 64GB iPhone 12, whose installment costs around R$141 directly on the allu website, for example, can be subscribed to in installments of R$120. The 128GB iPhone 15, in turn, saw the value of its installments drop from R$350 to R$311.
Apart from the difference in prices, which will remain unchanged for at least this month, the service is basically the same as that already offered by allu. After a period of 12 months, customers can choose to renew their subscription and continue with the same device, exchange it for a new one or return it at no additional cost.
Another interesting benefit is that subscribing to an iPhone through PicPay (or through allu) already includes complete protection against theft, qualified theft and damage. If the device needs any repairs, the user receives a spare device to use while the repair is carried out.
In Brazil, it is worth remembering, other companies also offer similar subscription services, such as Itaú and iPlace (in partnership with Bradesco). Last year, rumors circulated that Apple itself would start offering its own iPhone subscription service, but there is no indication that this will happen in the short term.
