Huge banners appeared in the streets of Moscow in support of Russian Olympic champion Camila Valeeva, who is participating in the 24th edition of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, according to the Russian “TASS” agency.

The signs that covered part of the buildings read: “Camila, we are with you.”

The International Olympic Committee for Anti-Doping said Friday that the medal ceremony for figure skating for teams in the “Beijing 2022” Olympics has been postponed due to the positive test result of Valeeva on December 25.

The Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) imposed a temporary suspension on Valeeva on February 8, and the player appealed the decision to provisionally suspended the athlete before the Disciplinary Committee for Anti-Doping “RUSADA” on February 9, 2022, and a hearing was held on the same day. She was allowed to continue participating in the Olympic Games “Beijing 2022”.

The World Anti-Doping Agency, the International Olympic Committee and the International Ski Federation have appealed to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the decision of the disciplinary committee of RUSADA to lift the provisional suspension.

Hearings in the case are scheduled for February 13, with the decision of the CAS panel of arbitrators to be communicated to the parties involved on Monday, February 14.

Valeeva will start the women’s singles figure skating competition on February 15 with the short program, before entering the optional program two days later.
