Pictures.. Masquerade party at an Egyptian university ignites communication

During the past hours, pictures of a costume party held by students of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Luxor University spread on social media in Egypt, which drew angry reactions from social media pioneers.

During the ceremony, the students of the Egyptian University competed to show their artistic energies in embodying terrifying cinematic characters, as well as Egyptian popular figures from Sinai, Bahri and Upper Egypt. They also dealt with some ancient Egyptian characters, embodying all parts of Egypt historically and geographically, and emphasizing the understanding of the Egyptian identity in fashion and makeup design.

Some students also dealt with some global models, emphasizing their role in understanding and drawing creative personalities.

The costumes that the students wore at the party and the terrifying characters they embodied were widely criticized by social media pioneers, as some described them as “disgusting” and others considered them devoid of “beauty”.
