“It’s pretty quiet inside here compared to outside. It was hectic. It’s much quieter there than 30 minutes ago. There it moderated, but it was not pretty to see, really not pretty to see, ”says Yvan Léonard, in an interview with LCN.

The vacationer took photos of the hotel complex in which he is located on which you can see uprooted trees and debris strewn on the ground everywhere.

Around 9 p.m. Sunday evening, hotel guests had to return to their rooms.

“At 9:30 p.m., they came to bring food for breakfast, dinner and for supper tonight, so we are really stuck in the room until supper, until further notice”, explains the man.

The couple, who had traveled to the country “on a whim” to surprise a couple of friends, are waiting for a communication from the hotel to leave their room.

Quebecers are now wondering when they will be able to return home.

“We will surely not be able to leave tomorrow because the roads must surely be taken by trees too, so we are waiting for a return of mail by the door or by telephone in the room”, says Mr. Léonard.
