Pierre Gasly has signed with Alpine, which he will join next year to form a duo of Norman drivers with Esteban Ocon. The French team intends to ramp up to play for the title in 2026.
AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly will replace Spaniard Fernando Alonso in 2023, leaving for Aston Martin. With this ‘several years’ contract, he joins Ocon, also 26, whom he has known since their earliest years in karting in Normandy.
AlphaTauri, compensated by Alpine because Gasly was under contract until the end of 2023, will replace Gasly with 27-year-old Dutchman Nyck de Vries, 2021 Formula E champion.
