“Pierre Naftule changed my life”

Pierre Naftule passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 61, following a long battle with illness. Joseph Gorgoni, for whom Pierre Naftule had co-created the character of Marie-Thérèse Porchet, pays homage to him.

“It’s 32 years of my life that are going away, says Joseph Gorgoni, moved. He wasn’t just a friend, he was part of my family, he was like a brother. He was the one who chose me during an audition for my first review in 1991. It’s extraordinary what happened. In thirty years, a real relationship has been built between the two protagonists: “We rarely argued, it was not easy, but not very complicated, we tried to make each other laugh. He changed my life.”

“Seriousness in humor”

Joseph Gorgoni paints a portrait of the former producer of the Revue: “Pierre was not a very demonstrative person. So when he laughed, it was extraordinary, it was our reward. He loved talent, he was an atypical producer. Pierre Naftule wanted us to remember the laughter, Joseph Gorgoni retains his imprint: “This guy marked 40 years of humor, he will always be there. He wasn’t really ordinary.”
