The comedian is still hospitalized in Villejuif, in an addiction service. He is being prosecuted for “involuntary injuries and homicides” after hitting a car in an accident.
A little over two months ago, on February 10, Pierre Palmade, under the influence of drugs, caused a serious car accident causing several injuries. This Thursday, the magazine Paris Match publishes two photos of the actor.
The latter is still at the Paul-Brousse hospital in Villejuif. “He has a judicial control which means that he cannot leave the establishment where he is before April 24”, explains on BFMTV Benjamin Locoge, journalist at Paris Match.
“Isolated”
On this date, Pierre Palmade will return to the judge who will decide if the comedian can leave the addiction center where he has been for six weeks, for another place of hospitalization. “Then he can return to his home, to his mother or to his sisters, but not to his house in Seine-et-Marne”, details Benjamin Locoge.
“He has recovered a little from the hair of the beast physically but he is isolated”, he continues.
Indeed, according to the care protocol that has been put in place, Pierre Palmade does not have the right to receive visitors. “The relatives who tried to come and see him were turned away by security,” says the journalist.
Rehab
The comedian of 55 years, however, has access to television and his mobile phone. “But in a limited way: he was advised not to put himself on the news channels or to call everywhere”, specifies Benjamin Locoge.
“It’s the first time in his life that he’s going to go through rehab because he’s forced to: he’s supervised, there are teams, there’s a judge…” , he explains.
According Paris Match, Pierre Palmade “gradually” measured the extent of the facts of the accident. “Just after the tragedy, he was in the position of a victim then he realized that France was shocked by this story and therefore he began to imagine that a return was going to be complicated”, says Benjamin Locoge on BFMTV. “Pierre Palmade in his head perhaps imagines that, washed of his excesses and finally detoxified, he could represent himself in front of the public”, launches the journalist again.
As part of this case, the actor is being prosecuted for “injury and manslaughter”. Indeed, in the struck car, three passengers had been seriously injured.
