The actor has been under house arrest, wearing an electronic bracelet, in an addiction service at the Paul-Brousse hospital in Villejuif since his indictment for “homicide and involuntary injury” for the very serious accident he provoked on February 10 on a departmental road in Seine-et-Marne, while driving under the influence of narcotics.
The judicial fronts have multiplied in recent days for Pierre Palmade. On Monday, the investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal must decide the debate on his imprisonment. The Melun public prosecutor’s office appealed against his house arrest and had requested his placement in pre-trial detention, a request also made by the Paris public prosecutor’s office during the hearing which was held behind closed doors on Friday.
At the same time, Pierre Palmade is threatened with an investigation for “possession of child pornography images” following denunciations by two men accusing the comedian of having consulted videos featuring children sexually. One of the witnesses gave videos supposed to support his statements to the police officers of the brigade for the protection of minors (BPM). At this stage, nothing accredits the charges. But the investigation has advanced with the indictment, this Saturday, of a relative of the comedian for various offenses related to child pornography. Investigators reportedly found disputed documents in the media of this 40-year-old man, placed in police custody on Thursday, a friend with whom Pierre Palmade was partying. He would also be one of the participants in the party during which Pierre Palmade would have been filmed consulting child pornography videos.
