It appears that we are entering a period in which robots actually succeed paint a masterpiece. One robot artist named Ai-Da accomplished the feat and will have a painting made by her auctioned for the first time in history. It was created in 2019 by a team led by gallerist Aidan Maller.

Maller is also founder of Ai-Da Robot Studio and the “birth” of the machine occurred in partnership with AI experts from the universities of Oxford and Birmingham, in England. Ai-Da, in turn, not only paints works, but also writes poetry since the aforementioned time. The name of the painting is “AI God” and it is 2.2 meters.

The painting depicts the English mathematician Alan Turing, who is considered one of the fathers of information technology and computing. Even though she is a robot, the author of the work looks close to a woman, with a thin face, dark brown hair, larger eyes and a feminine voice. It “creates” the paintings through AI, but it does everything without human intervention.
