Actually, that should give us 16-bit Metroidvania Souldiers in just a few days, namely on May 19th. Like the development team Retro Forge Games and publisher Dear Villagers have now announced that the publication of the title Postponed to June 2nd. Despite the postponement, the waiting time is not too long.
Retro Forge Games justifies it by saying that there are still a few bugs that need to be eliminated in order to be able to deliver a well-rounded experience.
