One of the central projects in improving the public transport network in the central area is the construction of a regional tram from Linz to Pregarten, including a connection from Gallneukirchen. In order to be able to specify the actual space requirements, the construction costs and the profitability of the project, the initiation of a technical preliminary project was announced years ago.
