“Quite present of mind, I immediately ran onto the field, where some players had already noticed that something bad had happened,” Lechner continued. “Two players held their mouths open and I realized there was no tongue left. I immediately reached into his mouth with my fingers to pull the tongue out. I succeeded on the fourth try.”
After the first aid, the emergency doctor came and took the player to the Baden State Hospital. “I hope Milos will recover soon. Out of respect for our player, no one wanted to continue playing, so the game ended at 0:4. But with such a job as a masseur, the result is secondary,” said Lechner.
