PlayStation 5 Scam: The Shocking Story of a Boy’s Savings Gone Astray

Cibe, 12, saved a long time to be able to afford a PlayStation 5. Selling price of the console? 550 euros. His mother Natascha thought of making a deal on the Dutch site “ti84-shop” when she saw a PS5 displayed at a price of 409 euros. So she placed an order for her son, who spent “all his savings” on a console he will never receive.

As we can read on HBVL, the delivery of the PlayStation has been postponed several times. “In hindsight, it was too good to be true. I sent dozens of emails and called several times. I asked to get my money back. It was not a problem, ensured the customer service. But the money was never recovered,” says the mother.

Natascha had no choice but to react: “We published two devastating notices, then things suddenly accelerated. The 409 euros have been refunded, provided that we remove the negative reviews”.

All’s well that ends well for little Cibe, who has recovered his money. “We immediately went to Toychamp in Bilzen for a PlayStation 5. A bit more expensive, but he had to wait quite a long time,” concludes the mum.
